Our Identity Counts:
Who We Are

Declaration

We are a community of Believers, saved by grace, committed to honoring God and His Word.  We welcome and accept all who are seeking righteousness and holiness in Jesus Christ.

Our Statement of Faith

  • We believe in the only living and true God. He is perfect and eternal. He is the Creator, Redeemer, and Sovereign Lord of the universe and reigns with active care over all creation. He reveals himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three persons, one in nature and being.
  • We believe in God the Father, who loves the world and makes His great gift of salvation freely available to all through His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ, who is truly God and truly man.
  • He was born of a virgin, died for our sins, was buried, rose again on the third day, was seen by many witnesses, and ascended into heaven according to the Scriptures. He is now exalted at the right hand of God where he is the only mediator between God and man. He will return to earth in glory to judge the world and to bring all things to perfection.
  • Jesus Christ is the only way to God, salvation, and heaven. As the reigning Lord, he offers forgiveness of sins and eternal life to all who believe and repent. (John 3:16; John 14:6)
  • We believe in God the Holy Spirit, who is Divine, Sovereign, the Presence of God in our midst, and a Comforter to all believers. He bestows spiritual gifts to believers which they use to serve God.  He convicts people of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and He enables them to understand truth. (John 14:26; Rom 8:26)
  • We believe the Bible to be the only divinely inspired Word of God. It is completely trustworthy. It defines God's relationship with us and our relationship with Him. It is our only authority for faith, practice, instruction, and correction. (2 Tim 3:15-17)
  • We believe salvation is a free gift of God that gives abundant life on earth and eternal life with God in heaven. Salvation comes by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.  A person is saved from Hell and eternal separation from God by acknowledging their sin, asking God for forgiveness, and repenting.  Through Salvation you enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  Salvation is demonstrated by turning away from a life of sin, going through the waters of baptism, and by studying and following the teachings of Jesus Christ.  (Luke 13:3-5; Acts 26:20; Romans 10:9 &10; Matt 28:19; Acts 2:38)
  • We believe the church is the presence of Christ in the world, the gathering of believers with Christ as the Head. The purpose of the church is to glorify God in all aspects of its life, including corporate worship, believer's baptism and the Lord's Supper. The church is called to holiness and service by obeying the great commandment, loving God with all our being and loving our neighbor as ourselves,  and in the great commission, making disciples of all peoples.
